Know you are READY TO START?
There is an athlete in everybody and CrossFit will help with achieving goals you never thought possible. In our Fundamentals class, we will be teaching you how to build a strong fitness foundation which will prepare you both mentally and physically for a lifetime of health and fitness. You will begin your time at CFI with a 2-3 week class. This is where you will work with a coach to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with our movements. Following your initial 2-3 weeks, you may then move on to our CrossFit group classes.
The emphasis of Fundamentals is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. We are going to be hammering technique, both to ensure your safety, and success at the next level. We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity (FORM—CONSISTENCY—INTENSITY). We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non-technical and progressively move toward the more technical.
Once the basics are introduced, your fundamentals class will continually progress to expose you to our basic hierarchy of movements. Technique will be drilled, and as form becomes more consistent we will progressively introduce you to the intensity levels that are inherent in our CrossFit classes.
The difficulty and success of CrossFit is ultimately in your hands. The degree that you push yourself will determine how much you achieve. Shifts in body composition are one of the most motivating ways to measure success. We highly encourage you to take “Before” pictures at the beginning Fundamentals.
*There are exceptions to the 2-3 week class. There are times when members from other CrossFit Affiliates move and have to change Gyms. Our Coaches will be the ultimate factor in determining if the athlete has the knowledge and ability to advance out of Fundamentals Classes early.
